So you’ve signed up for a shoe club and you want some tips on getting the most out of it? Well, you’re in the right place! We’ve been around the block when it comes to shoe clubs and we’re always looking for ways to make the most out of our memberships. Here’s a few tips we’ve learned along the way…
Always keep a close eye on social media and check your shoe club’s Facebook page as often as you can. You never know when special offers, contests or limited styles are going to become available so following on Facebook is the best way to ensure that you don’t miss out on anything. With many shoe clubs, you can actually purchase any shoe they have for sale even if it wasn’t personally recommended to you by a stylist. Here’s how you do it for the top shoe clubs that we’ve reviewed:
Just Fab allows you to purchase any items from your friends boutiques if you’re connected to JustFab on Facebook. But just recently they made it even easier to buy any shoe from them as long as you know the shoe’s name. At the top of your screen you’ll see a link to “Search for Items” which will allow you to search for any shoe in their catalog. If it’s still in stock in your size you can buy it right then and there! Sole Society also has a similar feature that many people don’t know about. You just have to navigate to the “Trends” page and you’ll find a search box on the right hand side. You can purchase any shoe you’d like from here.
Unfortunately ShoeDazzle doesn’t have a search function allowing you to easily find and purchase any shoe by name, but they do allow you to connect to your friends showrooms through Facebook. So if you are active on their Facebook fan page you can connect with people through there and buy items from their showrooms. ShoeMint doesn’t have anything in terms of searching for shoes or viewing your friends showrooms, but they have such a limited selection that the same shoes are available to everyone anyways so there is no need for it at this time.
The next tip we want to share (one that many people forget about until it’s too late!) is to use those credits before they expire! If you forget to make a purchase at the start of the month and you also forget to “skip” that month, you’ll be charged a fee and a credit will be added to your account. This is the case with all clubs except for Sole Society, so no need to worry about skipping the month with them. But for the other three shoe clubs you will need to remember to skip if you don’t buyt. People are busy and at some point you’ll probably have this happen to you so don’t forget that these credits expire at some point so you’ll want to make use of it. The length of expiration for credits is 12 months (we double checked this by viewing each companies terms and conditions). So if you do not use your credit within 12 months it will expire, so use it up!
